I thought about this the other day and BURST OUT LAUGHING!!!
Anyone remember a candy bar called the $100,000 Bar, and the commercials they had in the late '70s? The commersh featured people stretching the candy bar out of their mouths as far as they dared...

When I was in grade school (back when that commersh used to air), kids at school did something that resembled that, only grosser and funnier. Their nose would run, and they'd pull the column of mucus out of their nose and stretch it out like it was a $100,000 Bar. I frequently had a side view of people doing this, and they stretched it as far as their arm would go.
I thought it was only mildly funny back then, probably because people did enough disgusting things that I was sort of desensitized to the hilarity of it. But I forgot about it for years, until the commercial appeared on YouTube. And now I think it was ABSOLUTELY UPROARIOUS!!!!!

Back in time in my area, we hadn't got cable yet and we're only got French CBC (Radio-Canada) and TVA tv networks in Quebec besides English CBC and CFCF-12 (CTV) and that commercial wasn't broadcasted in tv stations of my area but we got a classic ad from the early 1980s who ran well into the 1990s with the Aero chocolate milk bar broadcasted in both French and English.

Kids sure are snot machines for sure. I suppose it's a defense mechanism.
I had two or three really bad bloody noses all in the month of May. Sometimes if I just searched around my mouth using my finger, I found a large slob of dried blood, and stretch the blood out as far as I could go. Always had that surprise whenever I'm having bloody noses.

Yeah, disgusting discoveries I made *shudders*. It sucks.
It was also hilarious when some kid at school passed gas and made it sound like the melody to the "Volkswagen does it again" jingle.
