Has anyone here ever pied a sign? That means throwing a pie at it.
If so, how long did it take for the cream or pie filling to dissipate from the sign?
I've been waiting for years to see this question asked...
I haven't done that. Seems like it would be a waste of a perfectly tasty pie. Unless it was a banana cream pie, then fire away!

I knew a kid who would roll down the car window after eating an apple, and throw the core out the window so it would smack an unsuspecting sign at 55 mph. The "bang" sound was oh so satisfying. Pies would raise questions about the orientation of the pie, and how to ensure that the right face of the pie impacted the sign to make the most satisfying splatter.

I remember reading a website for clowns that said the best splatter is produced by taking the cream and filling the pie tin along the edge first and working your way towards the center. This makes the inside of the pie hollow so it splatters better.
No, I have never thrown a pie at a sign. I wouldn't want to waste a good pie like that, nor would I want to deface a sign.

Haven't pied a sign. An overhead BGS would be a nice challenge.

I have never thrown a pie at a sign before, but I have thrown many things at this stop sign right next to my house. I've thrown water balloons and many other things, but a few years back, I had some silly string that I had laying around, so I threw the can at the sign, with the nozzle pointed at the sign, so that if I did it successfully it was just spurt out if I threw it hard enough, and I was successful.
It's been almost 2-3 years, and it's still baked on there, lol.

Most likely not, as I have never seen it mentioned in the 3 years that I have been here, and it would have been something interesting enough to be mentioned at least once.

Yes, they can. I've seen fractional routes off of US19 like 19-26, 19-4, etc.
There are overheads for US 22 and OH 7 at Steubenville. I have photos posted online.
"CR 2217" on the Goog here (http://www.google.com/maps/@38.8136095,-81.8255857,15z) is CR 22/7 according to WVDOT maps.

There are several 22/7 routes in West Virginia but the only one I could locate with GMSV is an unposted gravel road near Dunbar...
