Title: TxDOT now installing "XXX RD NEXT SIGNAL" signs at new signals
Post by: Brian556 on November 07, 2016, 02:32:31 PM
On the newly-reconstructed section of FM 2181, as well as at a new signal on US 377 in Argyle, these signs have been posted. TxDOT did not ever post these before.

Good to see this. The City of Dallas had such signs posted on all their major thoroughfares at least as far back as the 1960s that I remember.

Advance signage is always helpful...its like a JCT assembly for named streets

They still do.  Many (not yet all) have been updated with Clearview and the reflectivity is much improved.

This has been standard practice on all FM and SH roads in the Houston district as far back as I can remember.

TxDOT has a lot of inconsistency between districts.
