Title: US 422 Palmyra Sinkhole Issues
Post by: 74/171FAN on November 09, 2016, 04:40:44 PM
Apparently, another sinkhole has formed on US 422 near Palmyra (http://www.pennlive.com/news/2016/11/is_the_route_422_sinkhole_outs.html) after the huge recurring sinkhole (http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2014/07/start_of_route_422_sinkhole_re.html) was repaired a couple years ago.

EDIT:  Well the area around this particular sinkhole (in the center lane) (http://abc27.com/2016/11/11/in-a-town-plagued-by-sinkholes-penndot-says-sinking-road-isnt-another-one/) will be repaved Monday.  (November 12, 2016)

EDIT: PennDOT saying it is subsidence and not a new sinkhole. (http://www.ldnews.com/story/news/local/2016/11/29/penndot-route-422-damage-subsidence-not-sinkhole/94566902/)  Repairs were made a couple weeks ago.
