Title: NJDT label on NJ State Route Shields
Post by: spitball on December 06, 2016, 03:56:53 PM
Can any fellow highway shield geeks tell me when the NJDT label was used on the corner of NJ state route shields?  For all I know, it's still being printed on the shields; I'm not sure.  I'm just curious to narrow down the date of manufacture of the NJ-28 shield I found in my neighbor's trash several years ago.

It's not still being used. They went to DOT sometime, I believe, in the late 80s. Your shield looks early to mid 80s.

Thanks, Steve.  I figured I'd ultimately get the info from you.  Appreciate it!

The shield is 24x24, by the way.
