Title: They striped the lane the wrong way
Post by: Mergingtraffic on December 22, 2016, 03:30:11 PM
CT DOT always messes things like this up.  IDK why.  As you can see, there is a NEW expansion to the exit ramp.  2-lanes turn left as most traffic does here and one lane turns right.

However, CT DOT striped the ramp so that in order to turn left, one has to merge into the far left lane so, if reality it's like all traffic merging into one lane for a quick second.  It causes some problems b/c of it.

Since MOST traffic turns left here shouldn't the right lane be an option lane to turn right or left!?!

CT DOT does this a lot.  50/50 of getting it right or wrong.  Usually wrong.

or there used to be an aux lane between Exits 21-22.  They took it OUT.  Now, there's not enough time to merge on from Exit 19 (from CT-8 NB)
