Title: Thinking About a Gaming Laptop: Suggestions?
Post by: ET21 on February 12, 2017, 11:17:40 PM
Question in the title. I've been doing some research and am liking a couple ones, like the ASUS Rog. I'm looking for a decent gaming laptop that's not too crazy in price but enough to run some of the latest games with ease and was wondering what kinds and specs some of you guys are running. I'm not a full on "need the latest tech", but I would like an upgrade from my current machine that's pushing 7 years old and could run games like GTA and Cities Skylines with relative ease.

Long battery life is a plus as well  ;-)

No. Use a desktop. Why? You get to customize the specs without having to worry about the warranty (well, for most companies). And you get to create really cool looking computers, ones with RGB lighting, ones with water cooling, all that jazz. And the best of all, you get to customize the graphics card. Go for desktop.

If portability isn't a requirement, then yes, I completely agree. But that may not be the case for OP, here.

Yeah, your right, but a desktop will work if you have a surge protector with a long cord, an AV cart, and a large car (example: Chevy Express).

I got an ASUS ROG G55 with a GTX 660m for the truck. Good laptop, core i7. would say see what one you like the styling and equipment level of.
