Title: Odd 2-di's that intersect more than once ?
Post by: Sam on February 26, 2017, 01:29:16 PM
When I-87 comes to North Carolina, it will intersect I-95 twice: in Rocky Mount, NC and New York City. Are there any other pairs of odd 2di's that intersect more than once?

I-41 and I-43 end each other by Green Bay and multiplex by Milwaukee.

I-93 and I-95 also intersect twice.

Both of I-12's termini are at I-10.

I-94 and I-69 cross near Marshall MI, then rejoin west of Port Huron and run concurrent to the Blue Water Bridge into Canada.

3 out of 4 of those are not odd.

I-55 and I-57 just miss by a few miles in Chicago.

I-75 and I-85 at either end of the concurrency.

There's no such "it" that will intersect I-95 twice. I-87 (NY) and I-87 (NC/VA) are not the same entity.

In that same vein, I-76 intersects I-70 in Golden CO and run concurrent with it between New Stanton and Breezewood PA. I-76 also intersects I-80 in Big Springs NE and bumps with it near Youngstown OH. :bigass:

I-75 and I-85 at either end of the concurrency.

In that case, I-81 and I-77 would count as well.

All of those are even 2di, not odd.

Bonus points for being an opposite direction concurrency.

I read "odd" in this context as "unusual," not as "north-south."

In that case, I don't find I-95 to be particularly all that unusual.  Neener neener.

It has a gap in New Jersey, which should qualify for "unusual".

I-95 parallels itself for about 10 miles on 2 different roads...from the PA Tpk to US 1, and from Exit 6 to Exit 7A. That is extremely unusual!

I-17 intersects I-10 Twice
Future I-11 will intersect I-10 Twice (With a Overlap In Maricopa County)

10 is an even number.

In Jefferson/St Francois Counties, Highway JJ terminates both-ways at US 67.

I-64 in Norfolk terminates at I-264, and intersects with I-264 in the eastern part of the metro area.

The OP's asking for odd 2-dis only; not 3-dis nor even 2-dis.

The OP didn't even give an example. This thread is shit from beginning to end.
