I spotted this news from last February. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/popeyes-tim-hortons-burger-king-1.3991995
In Canada, there's a Popeye's Supplements sports nutrition. http://www.popeyescanada.com The fast-food chain was named for "Popeye" Doyle, character performed by Gene Hackman in the French Connection according to the article but the fast-food chain once used the comic strips items.

One of my best friends loves Popeyes (the fast food restaurant), and he says he ate there 1-2 times a day during his co-op term! Pretty excessive :-D. I still haven't eaten there yet; I'll have to try it soon :).
The Popeyes supplements vs fast food thing screwed me on my trip to Winnipeg. He wanted me to try Popeyes, and I gave him directions halfway across the city before realizing it was the wrong type of Popeyes :pan:. We ended up eating at a nearby KFC :-D.

Popeye's, IMHO, puts KFC and Chick-Fil-A to shame. Get the spicy stuff with a side of Cajun (usually called "dirty") rice and a biscuit.
Popeye's is one of the few good fast food places. Hopefully this new company doesn't ruin it.
BK sucks rutabagas compared to what they had in the Seventies IMO. It looks like food and tastes like nothing nowadays. Popeye's on the other hand has some pretty tasty dishes and I love their mustard dipping sauce, which I would buy if it was at a store. Since Popeye's in Oregon is all PDX except for one in Salem, I do hope we see their food come to the BK's that are quite numerous out here.

I doubt we see a mixing of the menus. It is just a restaurant conglomerate adding a new company to its portfolio. Each of the 3 companies will be operated separately.
Here is what we said about it a few months ago: https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=19733.0
