North Pole, Alaska, that is, where the pervasive Christmas theme includes candy-cane light poles.

And to think I though candy-cane light poles were solely a produce of SimCity Societies.
Looks like the Hershey Kiss lightposts in Hershey, PA have some competition!

Before clicking on the link I thought it might be North Pole, NY. (In the Adirondacks)
Just bumping this old thread for yet another holiday season.
I stopped by North Pole this summer, no changes or new photos, so the web page needs no updates.

A five-year reminder that my North Pole (Alaska) road photos collection is still out there, at the same address as above, for your holiday amusement. I just added another photo, for the main highway exit to North Pole, after noticing that even the overhead sign for the local McDonald's has a candy-cane-striped pole.
Those of you thinking about next summer's Alaska road meet should take a look, so you can take photos of anything new and interesting I haven't covered.
