That song only hit number 44.
Most of us (including me) have never heard of most or all of these songs.

Kids. JD's ;)
I think most of us on here would know the songs better if we asked about our favorite billboard number 1 song of 1996-97, 1986-87, or even 1976-77 (for the record, mine are Candle in the Wind 1997/Something About the Way You Look Tonight; With or Without You; and Hotel California)

Still better than anything that hit #1.

None of them. I avoid pop music like the plague.

I've never even heard of any of these. I'd much rather have some Mason Williams .
I've never heard "Desposito". I went with "Can't Stop the Feeling".
I don't know any of these songs, and it appears my kids don't either.
Seeing as I only bought two albums in 2016, and none yet this year, here's my favorite songs of 2016
L. A. Devotee - Panic! At the Disco
Crazy = Genius - Panic! At the Disco
Emperor's New Clothes - Panic! at the Disco
Blackstar - David Bowie
Girl Loves Me - David Bowie

This. I don't listen to pop music.
And I still can't believe that the "Vulgar Display of Power" album went to #1 20 or so years ago.
The only song I've heard that I recognize on the list is "Hello" and that's because the radio stations around here played the living fuck out of it for months. It drove me insane.
I guess Food Lion thought torturing me with One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" wasn't enough...
