Title: Why do ballplayers bubble constantly?
Post by: bandit957 on July 11, 2017, 09:50:58 AM
Why do baseball players constantly chew bubble gum and blow bubbles with it? If you go to a game, or if you watch a game on TV, you can always see a pink oval expanding from the batter's mouth off in the distance. That, my friends, is bubble gum.

I had to play baseball on various occasions in my youth (such as during school or other mandatory activities), but it didn't cause me to bubble.

They're not allowed to chew tobacco, and for some reason they feel the need to chew something.
