Title: Who here likes electric guitars?

Because (evidently) you're not buying enough guitars.

If today's popular music didn't turn everything way down except for the vocals and drums there would probably be instrumental melodies and riff that captured people's imagination again. I suppose there are keyboard and other electronic melodies out there in the forefront in some genres but they're not going to make people pick up a guitar.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved hard rock and heavy metal. I've never played the guitar (used to be a drummer), but I still love a good screaming solo. As long as there's heavy metal (particularly if more new bands would play old-school-style metal, like Volbeat), there will be a demand for guitars.

Country music artists will always need guitars, too.
