Funny, its been a long time since I heard anything about that whole "urban farming" concept Detroit was considering. Really I kind of wonder if the city finally has reached a tipping point post-bankruptcy where things will slowly start turning around? The population decline has slowed a little this decade and downtown has become something of a "hip" place to be. Really I was expecting a much worse situation when I visited this year and back in 2015. Things aren't good in the city but they aren't the level of bad from the 1980s when I was living there.
