Hi all, and happy new year!
My dad found "I-87 Beer" in a bargain bin back in New York, and I was of course excited by it as a road geek. I made this video about it 😺
I do recall there is also a US 101-themed beer from one of the many breweries north of SF (probably more than one). Do others know of alcoholic beverages named after numbered routes?
There's an older thread for this (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=5331.0) -- possible to merge? There have been beverages for US 395, CA 29 and others.
(The video review for I-87 beer is something new, though :-)
Thanks for the heads up. I might repost over there :D. Curious about US 395 and CA 29 beers...
I swore I posted this on there, but Two Roads Brewery makes this because they are located right next to the highway in Stratford, CT

I've tried the I-87 one by Davidson Bros. Nothing special. Price Chopper near me carries it.

Route 66 root beer ;)

I found this one when I was in New Orleans several months ago:

If food counts, there's Route 11 Potato Chips, complete with a US 11 shield on the package.
We have Route (US) 51 Brewery in Southern IL - haven't stopped in to see if there is actually a Rt 51 beer or not. And yes, the Brewery is actually on US 51

Looking at the online menu, pretty much all the beers are "Route 51 ***"
Saw some Route 66 sodas during the October trip I was on.
Rick
Silver Moon Brewing in Bend, OR makes an IPA called IPA 97, which features a cut out US 97 shield on it.
We've brought up I-87 IPA a few times on the forum. I actually almost held my meet at the brewery that does it, but decided to go somewhere with better food/parking/management.
A certain location in southeastern Pennsylvania is known for its PA 113 IPA and screwing up roadmeet arrangements.
Question: are the brewers of "I-87 Beer" planning to open a second brewery in North Carolina? :) :D
In Cincinnati there is a "50 West" Beer. Their logo resembles an Interstate Highway shield, though the name is taken from US Highway 50.
