I don't think I've seen such a post on here and if there is one I missed it. But on your most recent road trip what highways (U.S., Interstate, State Highways) did you travel on is what I'm getting at. You can include County Highways as well but Michigan doesn't have a great system of them and in my part of the state they don't exist.
Last night I took a trip to Mason, Michigan via Lansing and Flint from Saginaw. Traveled on M-58, I-675, I-75, I-475, I-69, M-52, M-13, US-127, I-496, M-36 and M-43. So 5 state highways, 5 Interstate highways and 1 US highway. This might be harder to do than I originally thought but I thought it'd be cool to see if anyone can remember every highway they were on.

If the Audubon Pkwy had another segment further east, between Elizabethtown and Owensboro, the KY route would be much more competitive with the IN route using I-64...The drive thru KY was fun. Had never driven on any of the KY Parkways before that.
Those are goofy looking Cloverleaves, but with the history of the Toll Plazas, the design makes sense

^ What was of interest in Newark (if you don't mind me asking :))?
My dad lives there. I was picking him up along the way and we rode out together from there. Otherwise I'd have crossed the border near Ogdensburg and went down the 401. :)
I think our most recent trip was our trip to Florida for Christmas. I don't count day trips to our favorite winery because it's not far enough to be a "road trip" (it's in Linden, Virginia, about an hour from home).
With that said, we took the Auto Train both ways. We were primarily visiting relatives in Fort Myers but also went across to Pembroke Pines for a day to see other relatives, and on the way from the train to Fort Myers we visited a friend in Venice for lunch. The list below is not necessarily in order nor complete, especially as to county road numbers in Florida.
Virginia secondary route 613 (Fairfax County)
I-95 (brief concurrency with I-495)

I'm certain there are others I'm missing in local driving around Fort Myers for Christmas shopping and such, and I didn't try to include non-numbered local streets (especially to the extent it might identify the streets on which our relatives live, which doesn't feel appropriate since they would not have had any say in my posting it!)
My last trip was my longest trip ever, so be prepared for a long list :). Routes clinched entirely during this trip are in bold (I'm counting the portion within the given state as clinched). There's also a bit of repetition on the return trip east of Chicago.

US 60 east of Owensboro is an easy drive. It's all been rebuilt, there aren't very many traffic lights, and there are plenty of passing lanes on the hills. You have two choices to get to the freeway system. One is to stay on US 31W to KY 841, or take KY 313 to I-65. I think most of 60 has been rebuilt between Henderson and Morganfield (KY 56) but am not positive. It's been a few years since I've been across it. I do know that 60 west of Morganfield, while not a bad road, isn't of the same quality between Owensboro and Fork Knox.

Last significant road trip was between late December and early January of last year, involving L.A. Because of the fires & mudslides, our usual southbound route via US 101 wasn't available. So it was the usual way south out of San Jose: CA 87 south to 85, CA 85 south (SE) to US 101, then south to CA 152, and east over that route to I-5. Took that (with delays over the mountains) south into L.A., where a veer onto CA 170 was necessary to access my GF's best friend's home in North Hollywood, where I dropped her off for a multi-day visit. After listening to traffic reports, I backtracked up 170 and I-5 to CA 14, which I took out to the desert (the Pearblossom Highway "cutoff" to CA 138). From there it was CA 138 east to Main Street in Phelan, which continues east as Main Street in Hesperia. I spent New Years' with friends in the desert (also picking up various shit from my storage area there) before heading off up I-15 to Las Vegas for a couple of days at C.E.S. (Consumer Electronic Show). GF and her friend flew in to join me (at least during the times I wasn't attending the show -- neither could give a rat's ass about audio gear [my current business]). After a couple of days, the friend flew back to L.A. and we took off very early in the morning south on I-15 and then west on CA 58 to CA 99 (with GF asleep and not waking up until Bakersfield). Headed north on CA 99; she googled up places to get "beerocks" (actually birocs -- essentially Armenian-origin wraps) in Fresno, so we found a place on N. Blackstone and took 41 up there, and Herndon Ave. back to 99. She wanted to hit Winco before getting back to San Jose -- and we didn't have enough cooler room for the perishables, so we decided to go to the Tracy store to minimize the road time from there home; so it was CA 99 to west CA 120, south on I-5 to I-205; the Winco is just off the freeway at Grant Line Road. After shopping (it was about 8 p.m. by then) we simply took 205 to I-580, I-580 to I-680, I-680 to its I-280 continuation, and then on to CA 87 south, getting off at the Almaden Expressway exit, which took us to local streets and home. Except for occasional business trips to Folsom/Sacramento, I haven't had the occasion to venture far afield as of late; I'll probably skip the CES show next year (less and less exhibitors with each passing year -- largely due to corporate consolidation in the field), so New Years' will likely be local. I will have to make a quick trip (back & forth in 2 days!) to Hesperia before Thanksgiving (I tend to put off desert trips until winter for obvious reasons!), but that will be via the most direct route possible (101-152-5-58-395 and back).

Next planned is grabbing the Newberg-Dundee Bypass (OR 18/ORH 39 extension) and Eddyville Bypass (US 20/ORH 33) for a simple trip.
Longer trip planned: Grabbing OR(H?) 241, OR 42S (ORH 35Y?), OR 42B, OR(H?) 542 OR 42/OR 99/ORH 35, OR 99/ORH 234, and OR 138S. That would leave OR(H?) 250, 251, and 255 on the coast, and that can be done later with 260 and straggling segments of OR 99.

Not listing repeats (as in, I used the same highway multiple different times eg. driving in a city or using it on the way back). Also not counting multiplexes that aren't significant (like, I technically drove on US-2, but only when I was also driving on US-95 which was my main route). Does include things like turning off the freeway to get gas/food, though.

No, I was actually up there that day to see my alma mater play in (and win) the NCAA DI WLAX final.
I did a pretty good road trip to Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday night. The routes for this trip included some of the same as before M-58, I-675, I-75, I-696, M-8, I-96, M-39, M-85, M-50, US-23, US-223, US-20, I-475 (Ohio), OH-420, I-280 (Ohio), OH-582, OH-64, OH-105.
In the process I clinched OH-420 again as well as I-280 (Ohio).

MN: (reaching destination) I-94 West, MN-280 North, local streets rest of the way
During the trip, we took a ride out to a haunted park in Chaska MN
Going out: I-35W South, MN-62 West, US 212 West
Coming back: US-212 East, local streets around Chanhassen looking for food, merged back onto MN-62 East, I-35W North.

QuoteI had an epiphany that US 74 must've been extended in the 1980's to give the Great Smoky Mountains Expressway one continuous number to help alleviate the confusion of all the concurrency changes (US 19/23/129/441)
It also allowed North Carolina to eliminate US 19A, but I don't understand why it's an unsigned concurrency on I-75 in Tennessee. It's not even signed on the exit from northbound I-75.
Oh it was about 2 hours longer than the fastest way (via US 321, I-26, I-81, I-40) but it allowed me to clinch both US 74 and I-24, as I have driven all of US 74 over the years, and I-24 from Nashville to I-57 in 2016.

I recommend the last portion. It's scenic and you go through Encyclopedia Brown's hometown of Idaville.
I just got one of my last souvenirs from the trip (I still have some pics to pick up at CVS.) A $5 toll bill for crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge. I thought that they forgot by now :).

Is this supposed to be a continuous thread recording (by the willing) our latest road trips? Like, whenever we take one, we should post it here, if we want to?
If so, here's mine. It wasn't very long (about 70-75 miles total), but I'd been wanting to go for a while and finally found the effort to do it.

It was a short-ish trip to the shortest concurrency in Iowa, the one-block IA-17/210 concurrency in Madrid. I also inspected the east end of IA-44 at IA-141, which is severely lacking in Hwy 44 signage and is something I should really write the Iowa DOT about. Seriously, if you get off at the IA-44 exit from 141, there's no IA-44 signs on the ramps or 44 itself until you've gone west out of Grimes and into Dallas County. That's unacceptable, IMO.

Basically I'm considering anything that's overnight to "road trip" territory. If I posted some of day trips I'd do this would get out of control fast with seeing CA 41, 180 and 99 constantly.

Did you find this to be a better routing than going to Abingdon and hitting I-81 there? A former co-worker of mine used to make a semi-annual or annual trip to the DC area (where he had lived for years; he was a key figure in a historical moment in November 1963) and he would go to Abingdon and then journey up I-81 to I-66. At least one of his semi-annual trips involved a departure from the Hazard area, which is only about an hour from Wise County, so it made sense. When enough improvements were made to US 40 in western Maryland to make it a viable option, he started using I-79, the former US 48 (now I-68) and I-70 when leaving from home. I'm curious as to why you hung a left at Hansonville instead of a right.
Typically, I'll go to Abingdon and hit I-81 only if I'm planning to use I-77 south from the Wytheville/Fort Chiswell area. If going to Roanoke, I'll usually use US 460 from Pikeville. The segment of US 19 between Hansonville and Claypool Hill is usually only for roadgeeking purposes.

Basically I’m considering anything that’s overnight to “road trip” territory. If I posted some of day trips I’d do this would get out of control fast with seeing CA 41, 180 and 99 constantly.
Thing is, most of my road trips are single-day adventures; rarely do I go on trips that last more than one day. I also, on the grand scheme of things, don't go on very many trips, period, which in general is almost certainly a factor in whether or not a trip is worth posting. Before the Madrid trip, which I posted above, was my MN-110 trip, which did involve an overnight and almost certainly worth including, but not sure I can totally recount all the highways I traveled for that one anymore (it will be precisely one month ago on Friday.)
Also, it's worth noting that almost everyone is going to have the same few first highways with any trip. For me, for example, any trip going west, north, or east is going to involve I-235, and any trip south is going to involve Iowa 5. That's just a fact of the matter about where I live.
Last Saturday's drive to Valley Forge National Park and Souderton:
I-476 (entered at Baltimore Pike) to I-76 (detoured to Exit 329/Henderson Rd. due to an accident-related lane closure at King of Prussia) to PA 23 to VFNP. Biked along the Schuylkill & Perkiomen Creek Trails from most of the afternoon.
To Souderton:
US 422 to US 202 to I-76 to I-276 to I-476 to PA 63 To PA 463 (vereed off through Hatfield) to PA 309 to PA 113.
To home:
PA 113 to PA 309 (veered off through Hatfield) to PA 463 to PA 63 to I-476 (exited off at Baltimore Pike)
