Title: Clearview font
Post by: Fox 11 News on July 12, 2018, 09:45:35 AM
Sorry is this was already in another thread, but I didn't see it:

https://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/resources/interim_approval/ia5/ia5_reinstatement.htm

Purpose: Through this memorandum, the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Office of Transportation Operations reinstates the subject Interim Approval, issued September 2, 2004, providing for the provisional use of the alternative letter style known as Clearview on certain highway guide signs as it existed before its termination on January 25, 2016. This reinstatement applies to those agencies that were approved prior to the termination and is issued to comply with Division L. Section 125 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2018.

Welp, that didn't last long. Earlier this year, the Feds approved the use of Clearview font again... reinstating their original 9/2/04 approval. You may see new signs in Clearview yet again! http://bit.ly/2N9V3Sp

We're aware. You probably want to try our dedicated thread (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=1411.0) in the Traffic Control board about Clearview.
