Title: Lunar eclipse this Friday!
Post by: CNGL-Leudimin on July 24, 2018, 05:05:33 PM
... and you won't be able to see it :bigass:.

The longest lunar eclipse of the 21st Century is ocurring this Friday. Unfortunately the USA is not going to see the blood moon this time, as it takes place during daytime. In my area the Moon will rise as it finishes entering Earth's shadow around 9:30 p.m. CEST (Central Europe Summer Time... a hour too early for my area), and will cross it for a hour and 43 minutes, doing so right through the center and near apogee (which explains the long duration). I plan to watch it, and I hope for no thunderstorms that evening.
