Title: Old street atlases online
Post by: CapeCodder on October 24, 2018, 07:26:17 PM
Is there an archive for old street maps/atlases online? I've seen old street directories online, but not atlases.

Historic Aerials has topographic maps in addition to their aerial/satellite images. Old Maps Online may be what you're looking for, however.

My state, Illinois, has this site.  Illinois Digital Archives.  I think someone here posted a link to it and I ran across it.  Maybe your state has something similar and this may help you refine your search.

MassDOT's site for old state road maps (http://massdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/PublicGallery/index.html?appid=29085e10d60743cf9a37d62b5fe8b83d)

My local library has many old maps and atlases of the local area online (I have spent way too much time on there).

I don't know of a comprehensive site, but if you are looking for a particular city, you might try the local library's website.
