Title: "The Road to Happiness": 1924 / Ford Motor Corp.
Post by: HTM Duke on November 01, 2018, 05:21:08 PM
I just found this video on YouTube yesterday.  This film is a legacy of the Good Roads movement, and served to show the importance of modern road construction.  It was shot in Fairfax County, VA (renamed Clay in the film), and also one President Calvin Coolidge makes a cameo.

A bit of navigational info:
0:00 - A segment on film restoration efforts
3:00 - Background information on the film
8:30 - The film itself

Great find! There is a real Clay County near here (across the Saint John's River via the West Beltway's Buckman Bridge and FL SR 16's Shands Bridge).
