Title: US 84 La. rerouted?
Post by: Urban Prairie Schooner on February 21, 2010, 10:51:35 PM
Has US 84 recently been rerouted in the Natchitoches area? Google Maps is showing US 84 as following La 6 across the Red River to La 1 and then north on 1 to rejoin its old route. I also see that DOTD is calling the La 6 bridge the "US 84-La 6" bridge under their list of ongoing projects (Grand Ecorse bridge improvements).

I drove US 71 through Natchitoches and Red River Parishes in December (09), and US 84 was still signed as being multiplexed with it from Clarence to Coushatta on the east side of the Red River.  I don't know whether it has been rerouted since then.

There was a reroute late last year at Mansfield.
