I guess they want Sh 146 to be more of a bypass from Galveston to Baytown. Hopefully they make it full freeway from I-45 to I-10. Maybe a potential I-245?
I'd like to see this portion of 146 become part of 99. Assuming they can figure out a proper path for Grand Parkway Segment A (45 to 146, thru League City), this would be perfect to make 99 a complete loop.
But agreed about a hope for future expansion of 146 all the way south towards Galveston.

This new super highway through Kemah has been in the works for some time. The only thing I don't like about it is the elevated road apparently will have only 2 lanes in each direction. It's not like they have a lot of room for an 8-lane highway.
