Title: They Finally Repaired The Wrecked Bridge:
Post by: In_Correct on May 23, 2019, 11:58:11 PM
I Apologize; I Was Unable To Find The Thread.

But It is about the Interstate 35 in far south Oklahoma. On South Bound there was a wreck or some thing that caused them to close the bridge entirely. They never removed the bridge but they did not repair it be cause it is a redundant bridge.

You could see the incomplete bridge while travelling on Interstate 35.

I was near it this week and this time I saw a lane closed around a bridge. The bridge had new beams being installed. The area of the bridge has metal beams and nothing else; It is also in the same area of the bridge that was damaged.

Are they repairing the bridge that was wrecked a few years ago?

It's E2105 just north of Marietta.  A southbound semi driver fell asleep and hit it doing 70.  As you mentioned, it became an issue as it's not redundant to those who live nearby. Personally I'm glad to see it repaired.

Yes; Me Too. Don't misunderstand. I am also glad that it is repaired, but others (DOT Officials, perhaps some people on here also) said that it is good enough to leave the bridge alone for a while. I checked the map and did find some "nearby" detours for the people that need to cross the E2105 Bridge. They look closer on a map. I also think there should be more rail way bridges for people to use instead of finding one an hour away.

Here is the bridge taken some time after the wreck and before the reconstruction.

Yes it sure does all the time lol. It seems Special Interest groups bought the search results.

But despite that I actually found some articles for this:
