Title: Wierd Google Map Error Report rejections
Post by: rickmastfan67 on March 10, 2010, 11:25:53 PM
So, I'm wondering, have any of you guys submitted error reports that had a ton of evidence, but have them rejected?

Here's one that I submitted 3 hours ago and they rejected it that fast when there is enough evidence supporting this report.

QuoteHi James,

The Google Maps problem you reported has been reviewed. We're currently unable to address issues of this type. We will keep your report and hope to do more to improve our map data in future.

Problem ID:

Your report: There is a brand new exit open here along I-77 @ Langtree Rd. It is Exit #31. You can see the exit under-construction in StreetView ( http://maps.google.com/maps?client=firefox-a&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=35.532645,-80.861993&spn=0,359.944253&z=15&layer=c&cbll=35.532919,-80.861934&panoid=uayVQGDyQZPBm9PjbdsYqg&cbp=12,199.18,,0,7.29 ). The exit opened on 08/01/09 ( http://davidsonnews.net/2009/08/04/east-rocky-river-to-close-for-roundabout-construction/ ) and there is a picture there proving the exit number is indeed #31.

Thanks for your help,
The Google Maps team

The weirdest thing about this is that I've submitted reports about new exits that they have had no problems with and said I was right with less proof!!
