Now we just need a TV Tropes page.  Especially for Alanland.

There is one trope on TV Tropes (I believe Critical Research Failure or a related trope) that mentioned NYSDOT mixing up US and state shields.

It makes it seem like there is another web based road forum.

Wikipedia has a good relationship with this forum. At least two admins on Wikipedia (Scott5114 and former admin seicer) are forum members; Bruce and NE2 also have significant time on Wikipedia. If you look at the list of featured articles, quite a lot of them are about roads; the only other groups that seems to have pushed for featured articles on Wikipedia are those with interests in coins, ships, and hurricanes.

Different Alanland, apparently based in the UK.  Goat Jesus will not tolerate such heresy.

Oh, the sheer difficulty (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_World_problem) of having to easily delete two characters from a URL.

Yes, the 3rd Butterfly Crusades.

As some newer members might not be familiar with the pertinent history, it bears mentioning that the 3rd Butterfly Crusades are more commonly referred to as the 2nd Butterfly Crusades.  This confusion is officially due to the international date line (+1 900-462-8739) but most historians agree that it actually has its origin with a May Day radio broadcast announcing the end of hostilities, in which the announcer Don "Alan" McKnight mistakenly referred to the just-ended war as the 2nd Butterfly Crusades–which in actuality weren't even scheduled to begin for another seven months.  According to the narrative, this is also why there is officially no such thing as the 2nd Butterfly Crusades:  the name was officially changed to Crysalix 2.0 just two days after the May Day gaffe.

Have you even done any research at all into the Butterfly Crusades?  Seriously, try doing a simple Google search before asking such questions.

And yet, a goat is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike the Grand Unified Alan.

It was really easy for me to find on Google.   :hmmm:

Maybe this will help:  'The Secret War with Nimbya' was later published under the name 'Sacred Goats'.  More information can be obtained by researching the fatwas issued by Alan Tollah Khomeini.

Not true!  And even suggesting something like that is likely to get you a seat in the Pfangle board of regents.  *shiver*
I don't care.

Well, at least you're on the right track.  Caring, although required by law at all times of day and night, is punishable by garrotting.

Maybe this will help:  'The Secret War with Nimbya' was later published under the name 'Sacred Goats'.  More information can be obtained by researching the fatwas issued by Alan Tollah Khomeini.

There is no secret war with Nimbya.

You might want to read the first few pages of the "Alanland (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7720)" thread, which was created back in 2012. (It's 80 pages; reading the whole thing will take too long.)

Speaking the word "disaster"  is punishable by brocciling because it disrupts the peace of Alanland. However, you are required to say "disaster"  if a disaster is impending.

It's too much to read in one sitting, yes.  I recommend reading about 100 posts at a time, spreading it out over several days.  Eventually, you'll hit a point where you realize you haven't had a good belly laugh for several pages, and it's worth stopping there.

Nothing in Alanland is junk. Everything must be kept and preserved so that Scott5114 can recreate the Alanland wikipedia page in all its former glory. AARoads will be mentioned on the Alanland page as the birthplace of Alanland.

See, now we're back on topic.

Unlikely.  There is, in fact, an Alanland outside of this forum (https://micronations.wiki/wiki/Esperantist_Republic_of_Alanland).  TheAlan360 was actually not at all happy about what we did with his fictional nation and left the forum in a huff.  If you search Google for "Alanland", the results are mixed between the two, which is perhaps the true legacy of the Caterpillar War.

The mods are too busy playing with the forum goat to comply with your request.

We have a goat? Can I see it?

(I'm not sure which mod that is playing with the forum goat, however.)

Is that statue outside of AAroads headquarters?

It is located on the premises of AARoads, and not located on the premises of AARoads. The punishment for relocating that statue is to locate the statue and then relocate it; as drafted into law by High Warbler triskadecaumvirate in 1881.

Don't forget to possess your top hat, first.

Why do you want to delete this thread? Is it messed up already?
This thread is not on topic anymore, it's basically junk.

This thread is "Off-Topic" so it's double junk i guess.
I had a dream that this topic got locked. It felt real. I'm honestly surprised that it's still around.

Should they just lock this? Because there's no point really.

The answer to that would be yes, but we'll have to wait until the mods are done with the goat.

I think you got that backwards–and that automatically qualifies you for a merit award, which can be retrieved out back of the former Pfangle distribution center in Sbarro® Oblast, under the green dumpster.  After retrieving your merit award, be sure to deposit it into the green dumpster no less than 45 hours and no more than three days after your the next new moon.  The penalty for doing so (or not doing so, but not doing so and not doing so) is not stipulated by law[1 (https://images.8tracks.com/cover/i/002/886/800/made_you_look-9609.png?rect=0,0,500,500&q=98&fm=jpg&fit=max)], but foreign news outlets have reported that it involves turkeys, synthetic motor oil, and toenail clippers.

I believe I can also qualify for the merit retrieval merit award, if I am able to retrieve the merit award without doing so or not doing so and not doing so successfully?

We should lock it because it is mandatory to lock it, but locking it would be punishable for being trampled on by goats.

The only way to qualify for the merit retrieval merit award if able to retrieve but unable to relieve the merit award without making but if so then not quite yet in not

if qualify:
for the merit retrieval award in merit:
try: #do and do not, there is and is no try
merit[the merit retrieval award] += goat
        except:
            print('unable to relieve merit award')
break #breaks in Alanland are both paid and unpaid
return alan.make() if not quite yet else award

I wish members that make their own threads can lock their threads themselves without getting a admin or mod to do it. But I guess it's the rule here.

I love goats!
