Doesn't sound like it will be much of a "highway".

I'm wondering if they will just improve Stauffer Road (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Shanksville,+PA&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=33.214763,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Shanksville,+Somerset,+Pennsylvania&ll=40.081782,-78.885827&spn=0.015663,0.038581&z=15&layer=c&cbll=40.081814,-78.885974&panoid=3rBU3IyL4e5ejHAGGP70ug&cbp=12,190.56,,0,5), which was a haul road from the former strip mine.

it's more than fine the way it is.  right now, it is a memorial free of bureaucracy and political correctness - the government has left it alone, and the people have built themselves a perfectly good shrine.

the last thing we need is our Beloved Elected Officials (May They Live Forever) to meddle in this.

Agreed, but meddling is what politicians seem to love to do the most and can't resist doing.  :pan:
