Has anyone yet seen it?  I heard it should be visible this week and be closest to the earth on December 28, 2019.

Not yet. I have plans to drive out to a dark-sky spot and hour north of town this weekend to watch the Geminids meteor shower (and this comet while I'm at it). My brother is getting an overkill camera for his Astro-Photography hobby sometime soon. Perhaps I could view the comet through the 10" telescope I have.
