A new local brewery called Barrel 41 Brewing, located in Neenah, WI, opened up a little over a year ago and their stuff is pretty good. http://barrel41.com

Tioga Sequoia has the 99 Golden Ale which is a reference to CA 99 and the Golden State Freeway. Personally I would have used US 99 over the CA 99 shield which appears on the can:

There's a brewery 4 miles from my house called 3 Floyd's whose beer has become quite popular in the Midwest.
It's not a beer, but it is available at a bar I occasionally visit: Route 11 Chips (https://www.rt11.com).
7 Devils Brewery in Coos Bay is our one locally produced beer. Yelp reviews are so-so. Best not to drink and drive in any case. The 7 Devil name comes from a local road between Bandon and Charleston.

Somewhere I have a picture of a can of an IPA from Pennsylvania that has a Pennsylvania state route shield as part of the name. I do not remember the brewery nor the name of the beer, though. Route 113, maybe? I'll edit this if I figure it out.
Edited: Sly Fox Brewing Company.

Good local beers for roadmeets!
How about Lost Highway Imperial Black IPA from the Mother Road Brewing Company in Flagstaff, Arizona...

Not exactly related, but a lot of roadgeeks are also railfans, so...
Mygrain Brewing in Joliet is great for railfans. Lots of railroad references in the beer names, and the brewery itself is inside the old Joliet train station...just across the tracks from the current rail station home to two Metra rail lines and an Amtrak line.
Had a Arizona 89Ale by O.S.H.O. Brewery the other day when I was on a layover at Skyharbor International Airport in Phoenix. Apparently O.S.H.O. really digs fun/scenic highways:

I'm clearly in the minority, but I can't stand IPAs. Way too hoppy for me. In general, anything with an IBU > 45 is not something I'm ever going to order.
How do you know if someone doesn't like IPAs?
Don't worry, they'll tell you.
I just tried the M-43 (https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50231239336_e84798ec7b_q.jpg) (https://flic.kr/p/2jwLeqC)M-043 (https://flic.kr/p/2jwLeqC) New England IPA and I really liked it, even though I'm not an IPA guy! Yes it is named for the state highway in Michigan. https://oldnationbrewing.com/year-round-beers/
^ For the Kalamazoo routing or the Plainwell routing of M-43?

Soooo true.
I like them because the bitterness makes you drink 'em slowly.
I know I've got a good one when I sneeze after the first sip. ;)
I would recommend a brewery or two, but I think we have something like 200 in the Denver metro. If anyone's interested in specific reviews, they can always reach out to me.
IPAs are definitely ... an acquired taste. Give me a good Pils anyday. I prefer the taste and don't want to just get smashed.
I typically get less buzzed on IPAs than Pilsners just because I can't drink as many because they make me full.

The brewery is in Williamston, way at the eastern end of M-43, so hell if they care. lol I catch your drift though.
I do anything but pale ales, and that includes IPAs...BUT I have found some hazy ones and milkshake ones that I really like in recent years. I could talk about this all day but I will refrain.
Plenty of IPAs have the same amount of alcohol as your typical lager or pilsner. I'd say that's the rule moreso than the ones that are 7, 8 or 9 percent.
I was out trout fishing in southern Wisconsin and ran into some hops growing wild near the stream. And boy, the flowers on that vine smelled and tasted exactly like a great IPA.
For me, IPAs go in the same category as Black Licorice, Coffee, and PB&J sandwiches. Never* for me.
* - Ok, I'm kind of lying. Only IPA I'll put up with is BrewDog's Elvis Juice (an IPA with Grapefruit Juice)
