Cue the "There is no Mario Cuomo Bridge, capice?" guy...
So...they caught the issue and are fixing it.
I'm a little unsure about this article. Are they saying that "engineers" (and not normal construction workers) turned off all the lights from the bridge, ignored every OSHA and safety policy put into place, and quietly replaced bolts without telling a single soul?
Or did they simply do some general bridge work after detecting an issue?
Did someone decide to sound an alarm on this that may or may not needed to be sounded?
You realize this article is from a year and a half ago, right?
Sounds like a political hitjob, bringing it up in 2020.

The people working on the bridge are engineers, not politicians. It's not like Cuomo (either one) was actually involved with the bridge construction.

I mean bringing up an old article in 2020 being the hit piece.

I saw it on my Facebook feed, but can't remember where it originated.
Since this is an old, dead topic, I'm going to lock it.
