I originally posted this in the "General Highway Talk" thread & was given the suggestion that I try posting it here. I have been on US 14A between Burgess Junction, WY & Cody, WY on a trip back in 1998 & after looking at several maps, I have noticed there is an older allignment that goes down the hill on the West side. The old road starts out paved as County Rd. 651 & then becomes a dirt trail & then goes down the hill. At one point, about halfway down the hill, the road becomes paved again & ends at US 14A at the bottom of the hill. This road is also called Old US Hwy 14A on Google Maps.
One thing I would like to know is when was this allignment bypassed?
I know that MODOT has a "Project History" section on their website & was wondering if WYDOT has one.

Historic Aerials of 1980 clearly show it under construction but already open bypassing 901.
It appears the 901 section was being constructed in 1973. See 6th pdf, pg. 12 at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bSXE8KCkd-c6wxZeyGddqaNeZ18e7JST

Ok. Thank you for the links. It seems that most of US14A between Burgess Junction, WY & Lovell, WY has been rerouted in sections over the years. It also appears that the US 14\14A interchange at Burgess Junction, WY has been changed at some point, as well.
