Both the FYA and the doghouse are for right turn movements on their respective streets. The FYA dates from the mid 2010s and the doghouse dates from at least before 2007.
Anyone know of other programmable doghouses/FYAs?
Minnesota developed a doghouse that acts like a FYA. https://streets.mn/2015/01/07/the-flashing-yellow-arrow-and-the-yellow-trap/

That's not quite what I mean. I was thinking more of those limited visibility 3M-style ones as depicted in the first link. Maybe "programmable" isn't the right word.

Most likely this 3M FYA was created using existing/refurbished parts. I'm guessing since the old offset doghouse was 3M for the circular indications, they modified it by replacing the circular lenses with arrows, then stuck an additional 3M segment yellow arrow in that housing.
On the same topic, are there any other 3M FYA's that are in operation currently? I know of another one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ruwk2HbpHfo) at Dupont Circle in Washington DC (https://www.google.com/maps/@38.9095327,-77.0442468,3a,30.3y,66.87h,99.94t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1soaaLcxrJnlGLYPGktLrV_A!2e0!7i16384!8i8192).

Are other types of "programmable visibility" signals still being made. It is still important in many applications.

The term is "programmed visibility", if you want to change the subject of your initial post ;-)

Yes, according to what I've read elsewhere on this forum. There is at least one other manufacturer (McCain?) still making programmed visibility signal heads very similar technology to what 3M used to produce (but they don't look "square" from the front like the older 3M models do).

I agree changing the title of the thread would be helpful. I would also include in parenthesis: (3M-style).
A lot of people, even on this forum, aren't familiar with the term programmed visibility (I only recently found it out in order to ask my question yesterday), but many of us are familiar with the 3M signals. And for most of us, we aren't too particular about the exact manufacturer, so if we see a 3M-style signal, we can call it out since they are so different from more traditional signals, even if it is not actually made by the 3M company.
Here's an example of a PV doghouse at a local mall (White Flint Mall). The mall will be redeveloping soon, so here it looks quite empty. At least for the time that I've lived here (18 years), I can't recall the signal being in operation (it was usually in flash mode). This was within the mall's property, not its interface with local streets (which are fully operational signals).

Go back to the previous intersection and you can see a PV doghouse with standard right turn arrows
Here is a PV signal (newer style) for a R-Y-G-GA signal.
The signals in the background are PV, and the signals in the foreground are regular. This is used for a brief lagging left used to clear the intersection. The foreground signal in front of it turns red a little early to prevent traffic from saturating the intersection. The background signals stay green (and provide green arrow) for a few seconds after the main red. As they are very close together, PV is used for the background (in both directions).

In essence, this is signalized as two very close separate intersections of a one-way pair rather than as a wide two-way boulevard with a very wide median. This is common in the LA area for many old RR corridors, like Burton Way posted above.
Here is a similar one along San Vicente with more traditional 3-M signals.

Yeah. This is the only 3M/standard combo I've seen.
This intersection in Morgantown, WV has an offset doghouse of 3M programmed visibility signals: https://goo.gl/maps/4Zu7LVZRWFA1UyMn9
The lanes were reconfigured through here about 10 years ago to give a third lane southbound. The regular signal heads were replaced at that time, but the 3M signals were reused and repositioned. A third McCain PV signal was added for the Beechurst southbound and University southbound movements. The McCain PV signal on Beechurst got damaged a couple years ago and was damaged a couple years ago and replaced with a regular Durasig.
