Title: What are the 'positions' in AARoads Forum
Post by: national highway 1 on April 28, 2010, 04:30:43 AM
Hi Roadgeeks,
Every time I read the posts of several AA Forum users, the users' names have a certain road as their position. I'm curious as to how this 'position' system works. If anyone can explain how this works, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your help!

Basically, the more posts you have the better the road you become.

I'll list the positions for you guys, but NOT the number of posts for each one that you need to get to it. ;)  Remember, if you try to spam to the next level, one of the Admins or Mods can either just delete your posts or change your post number.  So, it's just not worth trying to spam up.  Plus if you spam, you might get banned. ;)

I would also like to add that members have been banned for excessive spamming, therefore you have been warned.

No need to threaten anybody until they actually do something.

Somewhere along the line, he or one of his minions would probably have deleted the whole Soviet Union!  :sombrero:

Why is there no "U.S. Highway?"

Or "federal route?"

(ducking...)

I thought about making that joke but I didn't want to be demoted back down to "Trail!"

"Detour"

"Alternate"
"By-Pass"
and
"Beltway"

There is one position that is above "Interstate". We shall bask in the glory of its title whenever someone reaches it. So far the highest anyone has reached is "Turnpike", and that has only been attained by three users.

Seriously, though, this is one of those things where it's kind of fun to see the different ranks you end up with as you've been here longer and longer...but it's not to be actively grabbed for. Just have fun.

Yeah, Jake's got 1,000 more posts than I and he's still at Turnpike!

I think stub ramps are cool and turnpikes aren't - unless they're stub turnpikes (see Tulsa meet).

You could always be Dead End Road.

I noticed a post by someone with the position of "unperson."  So it looks like the position below "trail" has already been staked out.
