What are some examples of where one highway intersects another highway whose number reverses the digits of the first number, such that the two numbers, if viewed side-by-side, result in a palindrome - a string of digits that reads the same forward and back?
In my state of Missouri, one such junction that readily comes to mind is the intersection of US 36 and US 63 in Macon. What are some other examples of such intersections around the country?
To me, the US 69/96 multiplex in SE Texas sticks out, but that's a multiplex, not an intersection.
There's also the US 380/83 short multiplex in Aspermont, west of Dallas.
La 1 intersects La 10 in New Roads, LA, creating a 10/1 palindrome. I'd have to search for others.
Some examples I can think of for New York (those including a single-digit route only work when the single-digit number is on the right):
NY 13 and NY 31 in Lenox
NY 36 and NY 63 in York
NY 50 and NY 5 in Scotia
I-90 and US 9 in Albany and Schodack
If overlaps count:
NY 23 and NY 32 in Cairo
NY 30 and NY 3 in Tupper Lake
NY 36 and NY 63 in Dansville
NY 80 and NY 8 in New Berlin
I-35/US 53 in Duluth
US 53/WIS 35 in Superior
US 61/MN 16/WIS 16 in La Crescent/La Crosse
MN 25/US 52 (hidden) in Monticello
MN 37/MN 73 in Hibbing
I-69 and I-96 are concurrent with each other on the west side of Lansing, MI. Towards the city center, another palendrumic intersection is created by their respective business routes.
The only one I can find in Iowa is I-29/IA 92 in Council Bluffs.
I-75 and M-57 north of Flint.
US-23 and M-32 in Alpena.
Formerly:
US-27 and M-72 in Grayling.
A little bit north of me but still in Southern Illinois: US 51 and IL 15 are concurrent in Ashley, IL, with the intersections breaking the concurrency east and west of town
This next one is a bit of a stretch: US 40 and IL 4 near St Jacob, IL, but one has to conceptualize 4 as "04" to really be palindromic
Up in Chicago, US 34's eastern terminus along Ogden Ave is at IL 43/Harlem Ave
Also in Chicago, US 14 and US 41 cross on the North Side
In Suburban Oak Brook IL 83 meets IL 38
In Central IL, I-74 meets IL 47 in Mahomet
And just east of the IL/IN border, US 36 meets IN 63 near Hillsdale
Also in the Hoosier state, IN 25 meets US 52 in Lafayette
It's an interchange, not an intersection, but:

RI has only 2 sets of palindromic routes total (15/51 and 104/401) and neither case intersects
In WI . . .
- US-53, I-535, and WI-35 all meet in Superior. I-35 isn't far away either. Wow, that's a lot of 3's and 5's. :spin:
- WI-23 and WI-32 near Sheboygan Falls
- US-45 and WI-54 at New London
- US-12 and WI-21 at Tomah
- US-61 and WI-16 at La Crosse, with MN-16 also right there
- WI-46 and WI-64 near Cylon
That's all I can think of right now.
PA:
US 209 and PA 902
US 224 and US 422
I-80 and PA 8, if one thinks of it as 08. On that same note, US 22 and US 220 if we add the leading zero to 22, and also US 1 and PA 10.
Then there's the case of US 6 (no leading zero) with PA 66 and PA 666...
Indiana:
I-65 and IN 56 at Scottsburg
I-74 and IN 47 cross near Crawfordsville but there is no interchange
I-94 and IN 49 near Chesterton
US 36 and IN 63 near Montezuma
US 41 and IN 14 near Morocco
US 52 and IN 25 at Lafayette
IN 45 and IN 54 at Cincinnati
VA:
VA 16 and VA 61 in Tazewell
US 19 BUS and VA 91 in Tazewell
US 58 and I-85 in South Hill
US 221 and VA 122 in Bedford (their business routes in Bedford as well if US 221 BUS exists)
I-64 and US 460 (Chesapeake and Norfolk, with a "0" in front of "64")
In CA, the only one currently in use is CA 19 at CA 91 in Lakewood -- one of the few CA 19 sections that has yet to be relinquished. Pre-1974, CA 12 and CA 21 met at Cordelia Junction (with I-80 tagging along for good measure) until CA 21 was replaced by the rerouting of I-680. Fancifully, CA 1 (01) and I-10 functionally "butt-end" in Santa Monica, particularly since CA 1 south of the interchange has been itself relinquished.
WV also has 61 and 16, and it's not all that terribly far from the VA 61-16 intersection.
Two in Kentucky I'm familiar with are US 25 and KY 52, and US 23 and KY 32.
Covington, LA
I-12 and LA 21

Are there any 3 digit examples (i.e. 102 and 201)?

AL-132 misses US-231 by .2 miles in Oneonta. That's the closest I've found so far.

There is the anagram of I-355 and IL 53, but not quite palindromic. They do cross but never an interchange until the N-S Freeway route becomes I-290
The WI I-535 with US 53 and WI 35 was posted already
Cheating again, but US 150 and US (0)51 cross in Bloomington, IL
Just US routes alone:
US 14 and 41 in Chicago
US 16 and 61 in the LaCrosse, WI area (before US 16 was decommissioned; still WI 16 and MN 16)
US 18 and 81 near Menno, SD
US 25 and 52 in Cincinnati (before US 25 was decommissioned north of the Ohio River)
US 27 and 72 in Chattanooga
US 36 and 63 in Macon, MO
US 45 and 54 in Onarga, IL (before US 54 was truncated west of Pittsfield, IL; still IL 54)
US 69 and 96 in and around Beaumont, TX
US 224 and 422 near New Castle, PA
In Colorado, I think there are only three:
CO52 and I-25 near Dacono
CO63 and US36 in Anton
CO69 and CO96 in Westcliffe
Chris
I-5 and US 50 in Sacramento
CA 19 and CA 91 in Bellflower
I-10 and CA 1 in Santa Monica
AL 134 at US 431 in Headland:

A double! 134—431 & 431—134 in the same assembly.
I don't know if this counts as an intersection, but this is awfully palindromey:

IN-013NT (https://flic.kr/p/UTMrCr) by Paul Drives (https://www.flickr.com/photos/138603251@N02/), on Flickr
Also, we can count any 2-digit multiple of 11 where it meets its child route (55 and 355, 66 and 166, etc.).
Any examples with a palindromic place name visible as well?

Couldn't find any such junctions near Anna, Illinois.

The only one I can find in Iowa is I-29/IA 92 in Council Bluffs.
That one has US 275 bumping into it so I'm not sure it can count.
But US 61/IA 16 is a solid palindrome:
US 61 and IA 16. (http://iowahighwayends.net/ends/ia16.html)
IA 9/US 59, kinda sorta?

Anna is too far south of Ashley where IL 15 and US 51 meet to be on any Destination signage, especially since the larger Du Quoin and then Carbondale are along 51's path before Anna
Ava has IL 151 and IL 4 intersect in it, but 151 and 4 is obviously not a palindrome. IL 151 is a palindrome on its own, and it is in Ava, another palindrome

Pardon the bump, but I just found one: MO 5 and MO 95, just south of Ava, MO.
