I'm working on mapping out the Missouri section of the "National Old Trails Road" from Kansas City, MO to St. Louis, MO, using "Volume 5" of the "1918 Official Automobile Blue Book". As of this post, I've mapped out the part from Kansas City, MO to Lexington, MO. The map can be found here. (https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1XQBDhouWclkMgkVKyqdM3TY78AsAWeXk&usp=sharing/)
I've just finished the route between Lexington, MO & Marshall, MO.
The route between Marshall, MO & Boonville, MO is now up.
The section from Boonville, MO to Columbia, MO is complete.
I just finished the rest of the route from Columbia, MO to St. Louis, MO. I had a hard time figuring out the route between Williamsburg, MO, thru Mineola, MO, to Danville, MO. The part from New Florence, MO to St. Louis, MO, follows the same route as the "North Missouri Cross State Highway", so I just reused the map data for that route.
Does the trails map tell you where the Boonville ferry was and how much they charged?
Also I noticed the road out of Boonville is called "Santa Fe Trail Road"
Nice map! Thanks for sharing.

I didn't use the trails map, just the 1918 Official Automobile Blue Book. The "Blue Book" only roughly gave directions as to where the ferry was located, which is where the "Isle of Capri Casino" is now. There was no mention of how much the ferry charged, although another ferry up the Missouri River, at Glasgow, MO, charged $1.00. I think that the "Old Boonville Bridge" was already built by the time the auto trail map was printed.
The Santa Fe Trail Road follows the Old Santa Fe Trail, which started across the Missouri River in Franklin, MO.
Here is an article from the November 20, issue of the The Columbia Evening Missourian that mentions a change in crossings on the Missouri River from Boonville, MO to Rocheport, MO.

I think the rerouting may be the road that goes through Overton, MO.
