Title: Mini Bicycle Traffic Signals
Post by: MisterRoadgeek on October 06, 2020, 11:49:15 PM
I've never seen any of these before I was in Seattle and just saw these things on the bike path and I find them very unique! (https://i.imgur.com/8CSZFjj.jpg)

I didn't link any of the DC examples in that other thread, but here's one near the White House (the security checkpoint seen in the Street View image is for vehicles entering the White House and Treasury complex). If you pan the image around 180°, you can see the Pennsylvania Avenue bike lanes. At most of the intersections along there, they simply have signs telling cyclists which vehicular signal to obey, although in general the cyclists think they're exempt from any signals or other laws and will ignore the signals whenever possible.
