From my house, the closest state line is Illinois, at about 12 miles as the crow flies.
What are yours? The answer should be as a straight-line distance, not as a driving distance. There are some tools to help you find it; I used this (https://www.mapdevelopers.com/draw-circle-tool.php/) website to draw a radius. If you're closer to an international border, cite that state/province (for example, if you live in San Diego, you might be closest to Baja California).
New Hampshire: slightly under 2 1/2 miles
For me by road in Fresno it's the Nevada State Line on CA 182 which is 4.5 hours away it Tioga Pass is open. If I hiked over Kearsarge Pass or Piute Pass from Kings Canyon National Park it might be under 100 miles to Nevada.
About 2.5 miles, from my home to the VA/DC state line. About 4.8 miles to the VA/MD state line near Chain Bridge.

It's still a state line even if only one of the two is a state. No need to do VA/MD.
The Ohio line is about 133 miles away.
Roughly 1/4 mile west from where I live to Oklahoma.
70 miles to Ohio (near Maysville), West Virginia (Fort Gay) and also to Virginia in a couple of locations. 72 miles to Tennessee.
55-ish miles to North Carolina.
The Mississippi River and Missouri. 10.75 Miles to the closest point at a river bend
I'm 6.85 miles west of State Line Road between Kansas and Missouri.
This was an interesting find. I would have thought I was closer to Texas than Mississippi. My closest is to LA/MS line along the Mississippi River at just under 52 miles. Right near the crook of "the boot"
iPhone
Huh. I'm actually (via St Johns Point at the mouth of the St Johns River) a little closer to the state line than where the Duval County Court House was, according to a cool, old 1887 map (courtesy of Florida Memory). My house is a little over 35 miles from the Florida-Georgia Line, IF you use the mouth of the St Johns at St Johns Point. I tried using railroads that have served the area, but I kept running into the fact that the turpentine still I live at did not exist until circa 1900 and, via a request made to Flagler, a connection was made to where Hogan Road cuts in/out of US 90 (Beach Boulevard).
17 miles north to AL
About 35 miles from Oklahoma straight line, more like 45 by road because of Lake Texoma.
Roughly 47.5 miles due south from the Arkansas border (lat. 36.5). 2nd place is about 74 miles due west to the KS border.
Thanks to a debt contracted back in the Middle Ages that was never paid off, the closest subdivision line to me is an exclave one! I'm 62 km (39 miles) away from the Petilla de Aragon exclave, which (despite its name) belongs to Navarre. Had that debt been paid off, then my answer would be an international border.
Closest to me would be in the middle of the Detroit River, about 15 miles from my house. (Who says a state line has to be between 2 states?) Else, Ohio would be about 65 road miles away, somewhat less as the crow flies.
@Flint1979, you probably are also closer to Ontario than you are to Ohio.
41 miles to VA/NC.
76.5 miles due north to the Wyoming/Colorado line.
About 60 miles to Illinois.
I'm about 7 miles from the Mississippi River and the state line of Illinois here (as the crow flies).
iPad Pro
Indiana. About 36 miles by road, maybe 29-30 as the crow flies.
From Home: Ohio (24 mi, route dependent)
From School: Illinois (34.2 mi)
Kentucky - 5.9 miles
Indiana - 14.75 miles
46.6 miles as the crow flies
Just a tad under 80 miles as the crow flies, which is actually further than the nearest country line, which is about 33 miles north in the middle of Lake Ontario, or 77 miles west to the nearest bridge crossing.
According to the ruler tool on Google Earth, 1.16 miles from the front door of my building to NJ border.
40 miles to the OR/ID state line. 44 miles by car, very close to a straight shot.
1.44 miles from the west side of my house to the Kansas/Missouri state line.
12 miles to MI
13.7 miles to MI from my home
52.64 to Ontario in the middle of Lake Ontario.
72.44 to Pennsylvania.
Used to live 1.96 miles away from the WI/MN border (just offshore in Lake Superior; 2.45 miles to the nearest bridge crossing) and commute across it every day. Best commute I had until I started walking to work for my current job.
30.4 miles to Wisconsin in the middle of Lake Michigan
125.6 miles to MI/WI/IL tri-point in Lake Michigan
171.6 miles to Indiana just west of South Bend
77 miles to the Indiana-Ohio border along I-70 in Richmond.
It's two miles more to reach the border along I-74.
As the crow flies, I'm 143 miles from the WA/OR state line but only 47 miles from the maritime Canadian border in the Salish Sea or 59 miles from the land border.
By car, it's 174 miles to Oregon via the SR 433 bridge in Longview and 70 miles to Canada at the Peace Arch.
As the crow flies, about 4½ miles to the Southwick Notch of the CT/MA state line.
I'm 2 miles from the border formerly claimed by the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
24.5 miles straight north to the Minnesota border.
46 miles (as the crow flies) to Michigan
4 miles (as the crow flies) to the DC/MD border
71 miles

It's probably half that distance or less to the line between Kelleys Island and Pelee Island.
3 miles, as the crow flies to the NJ Border... midway through the Delaware River.
Tybee Island is 73 miles as the closest point in GA as the crow flies. 126 mile drive. 112 to North Carolina up at Little River. 129 mile drive.
I'm not sure on the distance, but it is about 1:15 drive time from here to the farthest upstream of the three Michigan-Wisconsin interstate bridges on the Menomonee River in Marinette, WI.

It's 29 miles to the line in the water just south of Middle Island, and 30 miles to Middle Island itself.
For some reason including the international border didn't occur to me.
Within 100 miles as the crow flies:
MA: 27.8 mi (slightly NE to the Southwick Jog)
NY: 33 mi (due west)
RI: 56.2 mi (due east)
NJ 67.1 mi (NE corner)
VT: 78.8 mi (due north)
NH: 81.2 mi (tri-point with MA and VT)
PA: 95.6 (tri-point with NY and NJ)
86 miles to Missouri as the crow flies. Tennessee is 97 miles. Other states quite a bit further than that.
Deep in the Heart of Texas: 252 to Louisiana, 267 to Oklahoma. Only 228 to Mexico.
About 15 to Arkansas, About 45 to Louisiana, and a little under 40 to Oklahoma. 540 to New Mexico. These are by the roads.
Arkansas is probably about 5 miles from the house. Oklahoma around 30, and Louisiana around 40 in a straight path.
Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Kansas are all closer to my house than the CLOSEST place in New Mexico. Indiana, Georgia, Nebraska, and Florida are all less than 50 miles further.
About 2200' to the Potomac River and about 4100' to the VA border on the other side of the river. And, because I was measuring things, 5700' to the employee entrance of the CIA parking lot...
About 24 miles to the Northeastern corner of Rhode Island.
I hope this doesn't give my location away.
One thing that's interesting about where I live is that the closest point to New Hampshire is on a corner, but just barely. Move a few hundred feet, and it becomes a perpendicular line instead of a corner.
From my house it's approximately 102 miles to the Louisiana border at Sabine Pass.
One interesting thing about the Great Lakes region is that to get to the Michigan border by car, it's only slightly closer for me to go straight to Michigan at Marinette, entering from Wisconsin, than it is for me to go through two additional states (IL and IN).
I am apparently carrying on a three-generation tradition of living on a state border, currently 2.02 miles from my bedroom to the PA border in the middle of the Delaware River. Of course, I grew up in Hoboken, with our apartment (yes, I remember the address and am looking this up on Google Earth) 1.07 miles from the NY border in the middle of the Hudson.
However, I'm clearly outdone by both my mother and grandparents, who probably could have shot someone in New Jersey from their home in Chestnut Ridge, NY - 1,037 feet from the NJ border.
54 miles to the MN 36/WIS 64 bridge at Stillwater.
10-15 miles to the NC/VA state line.
Me? The Kansas state line is just a mile west of where I live. I could walk there from home - in fact, I often have done so.
8 miles to the nearest legal crossing; about three otherwise.
about 20 miles to the KY border; the IN border is about 5-8 miles farther away in another direction.
Living in Central Texas, the closest state line to me is the Texas-Coahuila line. It's easier to leave the country for me than visit another state.

Counting the amount of time you'd have to wait at the border and getting Mexican car insurance, it's probably still easier (and maybe even faster) to make it to Oklahoma, Louisiana, or New Mexico than Coahuila.

In jest. In a perfect world, distance wise it's faster.
4 miles to the KY/OH border on the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
Looks like about 11.5 miles due south, as the crow flies, to the International border between Arizona and Sonora.
MD/PA line is 17 miles to the northwest of me as the crow flies

Wouldn't a due north direction be closer?
For me:
NY = 98km in Lake Ontario between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Toronto
PA = 116km in Lake Erie at the PA/NY/ON tripoint
OH = 125km in Lake Erie at the OH/PA/ON tripoint
MI = 139km in Lake Huron between Bayfield, ON and Forestville, MI
WV = 312km in the Ohio River at the OH/PA/WV tripoint.
QC = 347km in the Ottawa River at Mattawa, ON.
It's kind of cool that WV, which doesn't border ON, is closer than QC. Then again, MB (which does border ON) is 1288km from my house!
The Illinois state line is about 35 miles south. Closet highway that crosses it as the crow flies would be Hwy 83 which keeps it's number in both states.
Though I live in a county that borders Indiana, the Indiana state line is still 32-33 miles to the east.

That pretty much narrows it down to two counties.
