Title: Regions without a traffic light
Post by: TheGrassGuy on January 23, 2021, 05:42:45 PM
I recently learned that Hamilton County, NY, has no traffic lights. I'm now wondering, how many counties in the U.S. are like that?

Also, Bhutan is a country without any traffic lights, but I already knew that.

(Please forgive me if this thread has already been created.)

Off the top of my brain in Colorado, no traffic lights in the following counties:

17 of the 64 counties (27%).  Several counties only have one.

Hell, if you want to look at regions, if you include all of the counties that are only east of I-25, there are only 12 cities with traffic lights:

We live a little differently out west.

You are forgiven. :) It also includes counties with just one signal.

Doesn't look like every state was included.  My CO data seems to be new info.  Maybe mods can merge.

Up until 5-6 years ago, I could have said Madison County, AR, but then Huntsville put one up next to the old Walmart. To my knowledge, it's the only one in the county.
