This past Saturday I clinched OH 609, which was the first state route in OH I have clinched, so I have been thinking what is the first state route you have clinched in each state.
VA will be tough because I was born there, and lack of memory as an infant plays a part in this. This is as correct as I think that I can come up with.
FL: FL 869 (2008)
GA: GA 331 (2002)
SC: SC 65 (mid 2000s sometime, this is somewhat controversial based on uncertainty with 27th St, taking that away would make it SC 700, which I clinched in 2012)
NC: NC 168 (whenever I went to Nags Head the first time)
VA: VA 36 or VA 156 Business (Hopewell) (If counting business routes, I believe it is the latter. If not, I believe it is the former. It could also be VA 144, but the portion north of VA 10 makes that unlikely IMO).
WV: WV 112 (2014)
KY: KY 2167 (2013) (same day as KY 3226, the other clinched KY route)
OH: OH 609 (last Saturday)
PA: PA 581 (2015)
DC: DC 295 :-D (well it still is not a state at the moment anyway, clinched in 2009)
MD: MD 234 (2014)
DE: DE 141 (2016)
NJ: NJ 208 (2009, thanks to a church van randomly going this way)
NY: NY 440 (2018)
I have not clinched any state routes in any other state as of this post.
MN and WI, no certainty. MN was probably Crosstown 62 or MN 100. WI may have been STH-105 when I was in college, which my historical travel patterns and my TM list supports.
AR: AR 41 (southern)
CO: SH 58
FL: A1A leg in Key West

SD: SD 43
WA: SR 4
Michigan: M-58
Indiana: IN-520
Ohio: OH-420
Seriously though these are all short highways that I just happened to clinch first in each of these three states.
M-58 is about 5 miles long.
OH-420 is about 3 miles long.
IN-520 is about a quarter mile long if that.
I've clinched very few state routes. Probably MA 128.

Idaho: SH 40
Montana: MT 141
North Carolina: NC 241
New Mexico: NM 556
Nevada: SR 488
Oklahoma: SH 325 (or eastern SH 25 if you consider the two 25 segments different routes)

OK: Probably 74B. First route I intentionally clinched would be 24.
KS: I think it was K-66. Could have been K-8 in Kiowa.
MO: Route 360
TX: TX 203

I don't think I've actually clinched any SRs in any other state.

It's hard to say with places we drove when I was a child, and even a lot since then, but I'll take a guess. I'm excluding anything that doesn't appear in TM as a state route (e.g. excluding NY parkways). Ones with a question mark are genuine guesses. Ones in italics are probable but not certain.
First clinches by state ordered by how many total miles I've driven there:

Which one? There are four of those.
CT 15
MA 24
NH 12
NY 313
RI 24
VT 9
MN- I don't know, but there's a good chance the now-decommissioned MN 110 was it. If it is required that it still exists, I think MN 282 is it, but it's possible the original MN 62 is it.
IL/WI- IL 76 and WI 140, all in one shot.
IA- The now-decommisioned IA 91, with IA 86 being the first one that I clinched which still exists.
NE- NE 85, a highway I heard called by that name exactly once.
SD- SD 32, unless my dad happened to drive something in the Black Hills when I was 5.
IN- IN 912 before it was demolished.
MI- MI 60, on my only trip to Michigan
NM- NM 7, the road to Carlsbad Caverns
KS- I believe K-10 was first, but it may have been K-63. It is definitely K-63 if you are only talking about the current route.
MO- MO 118
EDIT: After looking it up, found 2 other states
VA- VA 79 (on my DC trip the day we went to Shenandoah NP)
TX- FM 3255
Alabama 193, October 2014
Arizona 389, April 2017
California 75, 2004? 3?
Colorado 139, 2002
Idaho 32, August 2009
Illinois- no idea. The earliest one I can trace is probably IL-41 in 2007, but probably had IL-56 or 126 clinched way before then as a child.
Indiana 520 (haha), Sep 2013
Iowa 165, February 2016
Maryland 49, April 2021
Maine 233, Oct 2015
Michigan 38, July 2015
Minnesota 270, Sep 2019
Montana 200S, Aug 2018
North Carolina 114, 2005?
New Jersey 183, Oct 2015
Nevada 28, April 2015
New York 185, July 2008
Ohio- not sure, oldest traceable one was OH-369 in Oct 2015
Oregon 35, Aug 2018
SC-179 barely exists, but I clinched it in July 2019
SD-240, August 2009
Utah 162, June 2012
Virginia 174, April 2021
Washington 164, August 2011, on the way to Mount Rainier
Wisconsin 69 I think, maybe 2014?
Wyoming 22, August 2009
I find it interesting that for everyone who has listed a clinched state highway in Colorado, not one has been the same.

CA: first SSR clinched: 134 on its original street alignment from Sherman Oaks east to the corner of Colorado Blvd. and N. Figueroa in Eagle Rock, partially through my home town of Glendale.
AZ: AZ 71, on the return leg of my first major trip "back east" to St. Louis in 1960.
OR: OR 234 from Gold Hill to OR 62, heading for Crater Lake on my first foray into OR, 1963.
WA: WA 8 from US 12 to US 101, 1979.
NV: NV 28 at Lake Tahoe, about 1957, as far as I can remember.
CO: CO 41 coming in from UT, 1991.

Early history so my memory is questionable:
PA: Probably 114
MD: 65

NY: 14
NJ: 72
VA: 292
WV: 230
For sure:
OH: 10C (unsigned). Somehow despite ample time in Ohio I don't think I've clinched a single signed SR

NM: 597
AZ: 64

WY: 110
Somewhat sure this would be the first:
CA: 163
Been to, never clinched a SR:
South Dakota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Nevada (unless a retroactive SR 172 counts), New Hampshire, Vermont, Nebraska, Colorado, Michigan, Florida,
Ohio: not sure, likely either 562 or 264
Kentucky: best guess either 212 (CVG Airport) or 1017 (before it was rerouted onto Aero Pkwy), or the since decommissioned 3157.
TN 158 (one of only two I've clinched in the state)
NC 179 (also one of only two I've clinched)
SC 22 (Conway to Myrtle Beach)
FL 878 (Toll Expwy near Miami) or 867 (Ft. Myers)
IN, IL, NY, NJ, AZ-driven on state routes, never clinched any

KY 212 goes 0.2 miles north past the I-275 ramps and ends at KY 20, so unless you actually been all the way up to KY 20, if you came out of CVG and only have exited onto I-275, it's not a clinch. Just noting it here as I almost mentioned KY 212 onto my list upthread until I realized that.

This may be the case for a lot of people along the I-81 corridor since it is a US 11 connector with a Sheetz on it.

VA 292 does not overlap with I-81 or US 11. It is just a short connector between the two routes. (http://www.vahighways.com/route-log/va292.htm)

Adding the following:
IN: IN 8 (Eastern Segment)
MI: M-239
IL: IL 5
IA: IA 130
MI - I suspect 39 or 85. Also clinched 1, 5, 8, 10, 14, 17, 103, 125, 153, Former 205, 217. May be others
OH - 420. Also clinched 191, 246, 412, 660 and 719
CO - 5. Also clinched 30, 44, 53, 74, 224, 265, 470
CA -51(unsigned). Also 65, 149
Nothing impressive. All are short routes
Updated for 2023 - I didn't track most state routes until I was driving.

Adding all of the new states since my last post here.

Florida: FL 30A (Gulf County)
Mississippi: MS 76
Nevada: NV 342
Tennessee: TN 122
Ain't clinched any state routes in any other states yet.

Idaho: SH 40
Montana: MT 141
North Carolina: NC 241

Sorry for the bump of an older post, but I haven't precision browsed this thread.
Thought it was interesting that AL73 was your answer as my parents brought me home at 3 days old to a residence on AL73, a relatively short route in the NE corner of the state.
I honestly couldn't say at this point. Most likely it would be CA-27 given it's the closest state route to me and is only about 20 miles long.
