Title: New Seaway Trail signage
Post by: WNYroadgeek on June 23, 2010, 07:29:18 PM
Or should I say Great Lakes Seaway Trail? (http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/06/23/1091464/seaway-trail-refreshes-its-message.html)

(https://www.aaroads.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.buffalonews.com%2Fsmedia%2F2010%2F06%2F23%2F06%2Fbn-20100623-B010-seawaytrailrefr-48689-MI0001.embedded.prod_affiliate.50.jpg&hash=f8a97f8a052df610d20a1136da9feb9148e4c2f7)

Looks tons better than the old one, IMO.

Perhaps I'll catch a few of the new signs when I head up to the Watertown area to scout for this fall's meet.  One of my favorite drives in the area is the Seaway Trail, especially the portion of the Seaway Trail that is NY 3.

And for the record, I didn't mind the old signs.  They were simple, but well done.

I agree. They do look nice.

I'm not a fan. Way too busy for my liking.

At least they're a lot nicer looking than our new license plates!

what did the old Seaway Trail sign look like?  I'm not sure we have one in the shield gallery.

It's small and blurry, but you can see one on the extreme left of this picture: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ltR_O0-YjgwlpA-RawgEug?feat=directlink

Here's one from my collection:

You're welcome to grab it for the gallery.

WTF your site is prohibited by my company's firewall?

I've noticed that our IT department is pretty spotty in blocking out "time-wasting" websites.  wordpress.com is blocked (even if it's a blog entry about the exact problem I'm trying to solve for work), but aaroads.com is fine, as you can tell, as is salon.com (not exactly a work-oriented website) and I can think of many more examples, but to blacklist teresco.org??  Hm, you're more infamous than I thought!

I suppose I'm honored to be noticed...

But yes, if there's one thing http://www.teresco.org/pics/signs is, it is a "time-wasting" web site for all involved.
