TxDOT posted a nice video of the planned freeway upgrade from IH-10 (east) north to FM 78. An unusual design feature is the southbound exit to FM 78, shown starting at 1:30 in the video. Due to the railroad crossing, the exit makes a full U-turn over the freeway.

The parkway design that is currently there is in need of upgrade,
I'm kind of surprised the freeway's initial configuration will be 2 lanes in each direction. But it is good that there is plenty of room in the median for additional lanes. They'll be needed in the future.

The part of I-410 on the southeast side is still 2x2. I am not sure the theme in San Antonio isn't more, smaller freeways as opposed to more and more lanes.
