In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, S1E4 ("The Disappointment of the Dionne Quintuplets"), Miriam encounters a protest in Washington Square Park led by Jane Jacobs. They're protesting the roads and expressways pushed by Robert Moses (called out by name). There was a proposed extension of 5th Avenue that would have bisected the park.
In the show, there was a poster based on the right side of the diagram here: https://ephemeralnewyork.wordpress.com/2014/04/12/the-1950s-plan-for-a-washington-square-highway/

No sign, though, so it didn't belong in the other thread.
While I'm thinking about it, here are the remains of the freeway from The Matrix: Reloaded (2003), constructed almost from scratch:

"Local 58" is a series of spooky Youtube short videos (~3 minutes) about a fictional small-market TV station.
The episode "You Are On The Fastest Available Route" features a deliberately blurry dashcam and a very suspect GPS.
Features the Merritt Parkway, Route 114 (which apparently now has an interchange with the MP and might be a freeway itself), and more:
Quote
0:16 Proceed to the highlighted route.
0:20 Continue on Holbrook Park drive, then in 500 feet, turn right onto north 38 street.
0:26 You will arrive at your destination in 2 hours and 28 minutes
0:36 turn right onto north 38 street.
0:43 In a quarter mile turn left onto Merritt Parkway.
0:47 You are on the fastest available route
0:58 Turn left onto Merritt Parkway then take the on-ramp to highway 114 north
1:09 Traffic ahead, rerouting
1:13 In 10 miles, take exit 17 then turn right onto quarry utility road south
1:22 You are on the fastest route
1:36 In 2.8 miles, keep right to stay on service causeway h516
1:43 You will arrive at your destination in 14 minutes
2:05 Rerouting, make a U-turn
2:10 Head east for one quarter of the mile then follow the signs for "Do Not Enter"
2:23 Continue on unnamed road, then in 300 feet, turn off your headlights
... and there's more

Local 58 is sometimes derivative but does have some truly chilling sequences. Like Blair Witch but with production values.
