I believe the famous climax of Its A Mad Mad Mad Mad World was shot here at this renovated building.

Apparently the person who bought The Goonies House in Astoria didn't expect the droves of people who show up for photo opportunities.  They have all sorts of no trespassing signs on the street in advance of the actual house and driveway.  Kind of begs the question of why someone would buy a movie house if they don't like the attention it brings?

I've driven by that house, and also the high school used in Ferris Bueler's Day Off.
