Title: Strange suggestions made by Google search
Post by: kphoger on April 21, 2022, 12:26:16 PM
Our deep freeze recently went out, which we discovered by smelling the burned-out compressor.  So I got to thinking, could that have caused a house fire if we had been out of town at the time?

But this is what Google thought I wanted to ask instead:

This struck me as particularly weird, until I realized it probably thought I was thinking about Freon inhalation.

More like people are concerned if something can cause health problems?
just "can it cause" without any details brings up a lot of health issues. Looks like people are not as concerned with fires as they are with health issues.

It's not something I found by accident (nor is it a bug or Easter egg), but Google Calculator recognizes "wh%7J" as valid despite looking like random characters.

Sounds like Google Search has a Prop 65 slant reading the content of the original post suggestions.
