Post by: allniter89 on July 18, 2010, 05:35:06 PM
I dont know if anyone else is interested in viewing traffic cams but I found these http://dotwebcams.com/ (http://dotwebcams.com/), http://www.leonardsworlds.com/traffic/traffic_camera_directory.htm (http://www.leonardsworlds.com/traffic/traffic_camera_directory.htm) websites that have traffic cams for all 50 states and other interesting info.

There used to be (is?) a cable channel in Springfield, MO that would show random MoDOT traffic cams around the city, with instrumental music playing. My aunt enjoyed staying in on snowy days, watching people spin out set to Kenny G.

Before it's shutdown, Weather & Traffic Watch 4 (http://www.pahighways.com/blog/archives/22-ROADS!-and-TV!.html) on WTAE 4-2 would cycle through PennDOT's traffic cams during the breaks from AccuWeather's content.

One station here use the MDOT cams, another uses their own sky-cam system and another has a helicopter that flies over the city.
