I wonder when the middle segment of Golden State Boulevard in Fresno (from Roeding Park north) received the now-infamous Motel Drive moniker...Google Maps seems to apply both names for the northern segment.

Probably not long after the freeway was built, in order to encourage through traffic to stop at the now bypassed hotels.
