Put something together for the Harbor Freeway from all the CHPW scans:

Great write up. It's always interesting hearing about how these freeways got built. This freeway has two of my favorite interchanges, The Judge interchange and 101/110 four level. I've always been intrigued. *if* they ever decide to replace that one day I would love to see it deconstructed in segments and preserved somewhere.
There's a project to improve the express lanes by extending(I'm being very generous with that word) them to terminate directly into Adams Ave with two alternatives one being a new bridge.

I know there's a thread for this but searching all over and going through 20 pages 3 times I give up. Please forgive and merge if one exists.
Anyways, I'm posting this because part of it is shut down in south Los Angeles due to a tunnel fire:

Furthermore I really wish they'd widen or at least modernize it with the same amount of lanes.
Closest I have:

Search works if you limit your query to the thread title, as that narrows it down enough.
Well, thank you for whoever emerged this thread and I don't know that because I went through 20 pages on the sub forum and somehow I missed it.
Why is it always homeless camps? That happened on I-10 too a few years ago.

Usually is when it comes to arson or accidental burnings in California . A homeless person burned down three homes a half mile from me two years ago. There was a group of them camped out on the railroad tracks. Another camp up on Fancher Creek burned a couple restaurants last year.

Apparently this was an abandoned access tunnel that went under the freeway. At least it wasn't in DTLA this time.

I swear I saw this exact scenario in GTA V before.
