Do you ever wonder that, when watching a TV ad and see an interesting looking road? I have this "hobby" of trying to identify the location where various ads, usually car ads, are shot. It's a real time sink, but quite addictive. I've been able to identify roads in Los Angeles (they're the most common), San Francisco, Vancouver BC, Portland OR, Seattle, Detroit, NYC, Houston, Miami. Many are rural, often coastal. Some are tunnels and bridges. So here are a few ads that have me stumped. Maybe someone else can sleuth these out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkCTsBoMfqM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkCTsBoMfqM) At one point, you can see a sign for Bear Divide Picnic Area, which is at the end of Little Tujunga Rd north of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, so that suggests that everything else was shot in this area. I've driven all the mountain roads in the area more times than I can count, but I can't place the bridge that appears at 0:06, or most of the other roads.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kdVkUta8TI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kdVkUta8TI) This old Nissan ad has lots of Los Angeles locations, but what about the desert scenes? They remind me of Lancaster or Victorville, but the mountains are all wrong. It must be somewhere in the southwest US, though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-CJDiCh_X8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-CJDiCh_X8) Where's the bridge at 8:15?
If you have some ads or other clips with interesting roads, post them, and maybe I can get some other people addicted to this too.
The first commercial has a lot of CA 2/Angeles Crest in there. The bridge is likely one on CA 2.
The bridge at 8:15 of the last one looks like it may be the Alex Fraser Bridge in Delta, BC. It's fairly common for car ads to be filmed in Canada, and I've seen several ads that were fairly readily identifiable as the Vancouver area, so I wouldn't be surprised to learn that's the bridge in question.

Don't be surprised, it probably is. There's a little kmpost in the center barrier that was present in the past (https://www.google.com/maps/@49.161243,-122.9434697,3a,24.5y,163.56h,90.31t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sAd_o3bPJPNjgEzei9QssmA!2e0!5s20140701T000000!7i13312!8i6656) that matches the ad.

Yes, that's it. I've never driven it, but I've seen it in Google Earth 3D, so it looked familiar. I should have poked around that area, because there were other scenes I recognized from Vancouver, including the entrance to the Waterfront Rd tunnel at 7:59, which is visible here: https://goo.gl/maps/NihkWVrPAPv4iHAW8 (https://goo.gl/maps/NihkWVrPAPv4iHAW8).
I've wondered why there are so many Vancouver BC ads. Could it simply be that there's a major ad agency based there? Of course, it is a beautiful city, with beautiful surroundings.

I've driven all the roads in those mountains many times. The only arch bridges I can think of are two on Big Tujunga Canyon Rd, and neither one has guardrails like the bridge in the video. Does anyone know of any other rural arch bridges anywhere around LA county?

Provincial tax credits, from what I understand.
Here's a quick challenge: What is the road in most of this ad? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zUr4GG0wv4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zUr4GG0wv4)
It's a road used fairly frequently in car ads. Bonus points if you can identify the closing location (somewhere completely different, and not related to a road).

Conzelman Road in Marin Headlands?
I've also seen more car ads than I can think of over the years that were obviously recorded in Canada, mainly from the yellow back plates on the stop and go lights. Most of them I thought were done in Toronto, ON, many of them in the downtown area.

I don't think I've seen an ad on Conzelman (although I've driven it a couple of times). I've seen a couple of ads shot on Ridgecrest Blvd, a little further north.
This one is Deer Creek Road, off Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County (34.0781°, -118.9904°). I've seen half a dozen ads filmed there.
The closing scene was Goat Rock in Jenner, California, which I've seen in another ad, as well as a movie.

I forget which recent car ad it was (I want to say Nissan something) but they had the driver descending the one lane segment of Conzelman right past the 18% grade sign.
Does anyone recognize this road?

It looks like CA/OR/WA inland, most of which I know very well, but I've never seen such a straight road right next to a lake like this. There are other views elsewhere in the ad, but 0:24 has the best overview.
