Has anyone seen any like these before?
Top in Whitesmarsh, GA and bottom in Wichita, KS.
If I remember correctly, one-section green balls like these are not MUTCD compliant.
Regardless, here's one I found on US 280 at Cherokee Rd, Birmingham AL suburbs

In the realm of one-section heads with a green indication, I have only seen arrow indications on such signal heads. They're either up arrows or right arrows in my experience. Signals like this don't exactly fit what was mentioned in the original post, so I won't post any pictures or links thereof.

That has to be one of the most unusual setups I've ever seen.
Nevermind the one section orbs, what's up with the U-turn signal next to the FYA? And the U-turn is red while the flashing yellow is active.

I found the intersection on Google. There are actually two lanes. One dedicated for U-turns and one dedicated for left turns. They are separated by a small pork chop island.
