Sad to say the iconic singer passed away today.
Yes. She is also the second iconic Australian female performer/singer to pass away this past week as Judith Durham from the 1960's group The Seekers ("Georgy Girl", "I'll Never Find Another You") passed away Friday the 5th.

I've met Olivia Newton John in person, not that I remember anything because I was 9. Most of these "RIP Person" threads are people I haven't even heard of, but this one is different.
However, the OP said "today" and posted at 00:00:32. That's 32 seconds total to realize she's dead, send the message to the public, and then for roadman65 to post here.
I saw photos of her with her daughter who almost resembles her, but looks more like her dad I'm guessing. I do find it ironic though being her mom had breast cancer, that she would take a trip down down silicone lane increasing her chances of getting breast cancer.
I also learned that her former Grease costar Jeff Conaway was her brother in law before her sister Rona passed away a few years back.

Or maybe it took him longer than 32 seconds to type the post so it was "today" when he started typing.

Or it could have been west coast time. I always found the phrase "insert person is dead today" to be kind of odd. Will said person be alive or undead tomorrow or five days from now?
To me anytime before bed is today. I work second shift so I get in late.
