Title: The Seven-Ups car chase
Post by: Stephane Dumas on August 07, 2010, 09:06:22 AM
I spotted a good car chase scene from the movie The Seven-Ups. Interesting vintage views of NYC streets, George Washington bridge and the Palissades Interstate parkway

Unfortunatley, it suddenly jumps from the Palisades Interstate Parkway to the roads like the Saw Mill River Parkway and Taconic Parkway... but it doesn't even bother with the New York State Thruway.

:eyebrow: :banghead:

The Bonneville's driver is Bill Hickman, who was also at the wheel of the Dodge Charger in the famous SF car chase sequence in "Bullitt."

A gross error in continuity for anyone who knows those parkways...where buses aren't allowed (too tall for most of the overpasses).

Another film with awful chase continuity (though the chase itself IS legendary) - how do you get from Army Street at Bryant in San Francisco, to the Guadalupe Canyon Parkway in Brisbane!?!??
